Fredericks & Notary Public Congratulates Vynnette Frederick on Her Appointment as Saint Vincent & the Grenadines’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – Fredericks Attorneys & Notary Public is proud to announce that our Managing Counsel, Her Excellency Vynnette Arlissa Frederick, has been appointed as the new Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations. She formally presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres on 3rd February 2026.

Ambassador Frederick brings over 23 years of distinguished legal experience to her diplomatic role. She is widely recognized as a leading authority in Family and Adoption Law in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the wider OECS region. Over her career, she has demonstrated fearless advocacy before the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, while maintaining a broad civil and criminal practice.

In addition to her legal achievements, Ambassador Frederick has made significant contributions to national and regional governance. Between 2010 and 2015, she served as a Senator in the House of Representatives of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where she played a leading role in debates on Information Technology, Witness Protection, Human Trafficking, Reparations, and Maritime Law.

In January 2026, she was appointed to a committee tasked with modernizing the Family Court Division in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Ambassador Frederick is also a dedicated advocate for community empowerment. She co-founded Esther’s Promise, a registered non-profit organization focused on the transformation and empowerment of vulnerable women aged 18–25, and has actively engaged with youth and the creative arts sector across the Caribbean.

Ambassador Frederick holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, and completed her postgraduate Bar studies at the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago.
